A fully comprehensive training program

Program:

  • The HR function: positioning, contribution to business model transformation
  • HR fundamentals: employment law, collective bargaining, introduction to international mobility, basic principles of total rewards, talent management
  • Business knowledge: corporate governance, financial accounting, key indicators, function management
  • HR practices internationally: cross-cultural management, HR and internationalization, regional focus

  • Design and manage the organization of HR services and teams within an international company
  • Manage and optimize all HR cycle processes within a global organization and its international scope
  • Support managers and local HR in their HR practices, as well as in the management of major strategic changes: digital transformations, mergers & acquisitions, crises, etc.
  • Manage intercultural issues and the HR impacts of internationalization

Program:

  • Total rewards management: compensation principles and structures, grading, compensation surveys
  • Social protection and employee benefits management: social protection: health, death and disability cover, pensions, employee savings plans, other employee benefits
  • Management of variable compensation schemes: short-term and long-term variable pay
  • People analytics management: applied mathematics, data analysis and visualization, HR management control
  • Management of specific contexts and compensation: executive compensation, social marketing and communication applied to compensation, mergers and acquisitions

Target skills

  • Set a global compensation and benefits strategy aligned with the company's economic and social objectives, and translate it into regional/country action plans.
  • Deploy global strategy across all areas in collaboration with all relevant functions and stakeholders within the organization.
  • Implement, manage, and evolve the job classification system, executive compensation, social protection schemes, as well as stock compensation programs, variable compensation, and benefits at both global and local levels.
  • Oversee the organization's consolidated payroll and social commitments, as well as country-specific ones, in collaboration with the finance department.

  • An 11.5-month program (490 class hours)

Assessment methods:
  • Ongoing skills tests (December, January and June)
  • Submission of a professional thesis (August) and defense (September)
  • Graduation in November of the following year

On successful completion of the course, the RNCP39242 ( level 7) International HR Manager qualification (registered with the RNCP under the ruling published on 05/07/2024 with an expiry date of 27/06/2027) and the MBA International HR Management qualification from Institut Magellan are awarded.

This course is open to anyone with at least a Bac+4 qualification (or international equivalent), or, in exceptional cases, a Bac+3 qualification (or international equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience. 

It is open to recent graduates, current professionals and those undergoing retraining. It can be taken as a program combining classroom-based and in-company training programs on a contrat de professionnalisation or internship (depending on your financing method).

Step 1: submitting your application

Send your application by email to contact@magellan-institute.com with:

  • the application form
  • your CV
  • a cover letter (2 pages maximum)
  • a copy of your identity document
  • your most recent certificate of results in a recognized English test (If you do not have this certificate, you will be required to take an English test prior to the admissions session).
  

Step 2: Admissions session (half day)

Once we have examined your application and shortlisted profiles that match our criteria, you will be invited to attend a half-day admissions session, which will include:

  • An interview with a panel of professionals and a course leader (in French) to discuss your motivations for enrolling.
  • An oral English test, plus a written test if you cannot provide the result of an appropriate official test
N.B. a €95 application fee will be charged (for participants in a selection session only). This fee is retained by the Institut Magellan, even if the candidate is not retained or does not complete all or part of the selection tests, for whatever reason.

The schedule is generally 3 weeks in-company for 1 week at the Institut.
